In der Punk 45”-Reihe des Londoner Labels Soul Jazz Records erscheint mit “Burn, Rubber City, Burn!” ein Abriss der Punk-Szene des mittleren Westens der USA. Vor allem die Stadt Akron in Ohio erwies sich in der zweiten Hälfte der 1970er-Jahre als Hotspot für die aufstrebende Punkbewegung. Die dort ansässige gummiverarbeitende Industrie war im Niedergang, was junge Leute offenbar dazu bewog, viele Bands zu gründen: Bekannte Acts wie Devo, The Bizarros und Rubber City Rebels waren dabei, aber auch heute weniger geläufige Namen. Die Compilation erscheint mit großzügigem Booklet und Linernotes sowie exklusiven Fotos. Das Vinyl kommt im Klappcover mit Downloadcode.
